IPLpro Staff - 4 May 2009
The Kings XI Punjab managed to beat the Kolkata Knight Riders off the last ball of the match to go at the top of the points table. With this win, the Kings have gone up to 8 points from five matches.

Batting first, the Knight Riders got off to a slow start, but thanks to Brad Hodge’s half century, they managed to score 153 in their twenty overs.

In reply, the Kings also did not have a very steady start, but the Knight Riders dropped many catches and allowed their opponents to come back into the match.

In the end, this proved to be crucial, as Mahela Jayawardene saw the team through to a six wickets win.
