Cricket included in 2010 Asian games

IPLpro Staff - 13 May 2009
The effect of T20 in general and IPL in specific seems to have affected the mindset of multi-sport events like the Asian games as well, as cricket makes an entry into the 2010 Asian games.

China will host the next year’s Asian games, and there will be eight sides representing their countries, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, apart from hosts China.

Cricket was a part of the 1900 Olympics when Great Britain had beaten France to win the gold, where as the Commonwealth games of 1998 had already seen cricket make its presence.
