Delhi DareDevils beat Mumbai Indians, go on top

IPLpro Staff - 9 May 2009

The Delhi Daredevils easily brushed aside the challenge from the Mumbai Indians and won their match by seven wickets.

Batting firs, Mumbai Indians could muster only 116 runs in their 20 overs, thanks mainly due to Dwayne Bravo’s 35. Sachin Tendulkar was run-out for 15 and there both openers scored ducks.

In reply, Delhi were in a bit of a trouble at 46/2 in 9.1 overs, but A.B. de Villiers continued with his good form and scored a fifty to win it for Delhi.

Nehra’s 2/27 in four overs won him the man-of-the-match award.
