The Delhi DareDevls made short work of Kings XI Punjab in the third match of this season’s IPL.

In a rain-curtailed 12-over encounter, Virender Sehwag won the toss and elected to field first, but Karan Goel’s smashing knock ensured that the Punjab team got to 104/7.
 
In reply, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir went after the bowling from the start; Sehwag smashing debutant Yusuf Abdullah for a six and a four first up. Another rain interruption changed it to a six-over match, in which the DareDevils needed 58, which they made with all their ten wickets in tact.
 
Daniel Vettori was declared the man-of-the-match for his three-wicket haul. With this Delhi is off the mark with two points, while Punjab has yet to open their account.
