Mumbai easily beat Punjab

IPLpro Staff - 13 May 2009
The Mumbai Indians beat the Kings XI Punjab by eight wickets with almost four overs to spare to go to the fourth position on the points table.

Batting first after winning the toss, Kings XI Punjab was given an explosive start by Sunny Sohal, but they could not sustain the momentum against the slower bowlers. J.P. Duminy captured two wickets in one over, where as Harbhajan Singh bowled with a lot of guile to peg the Kings back. They ended at 119/8 in 20 overs.

Mumbai lost two early wickets, but Dwayne Bravo and Sachin Tendulkar saw then through with ease. Bravo hit an unbeaten half-century to seal the win.
