Mumbai lose another thriller to Royals

IPLpro Staff - 15 May 2009
The Mumbai Indians were beaten by the Rajasthan Royals by a slender margin of two runs at Kingsmead in Durban.

Batting first, the Rajasthan Royals scored 145 in their stipulated twenty overs. Rob Quiney scored his first ever fifty of the IPL.

In reply, the Mumbai Indians looked on course to win the match when four runs were needed in the final over, but Munaf Patel bowled wonderfully well to restrict them to a single and take three wickets in the process.

With this win, the Royals go up to the third spot in the table.
