Kevin Pietersen has said that they lost to the genius of Aussie cricketer, and now playing for Chennai Super Kings, Matthew Hayden.
 
Hayden had scored a 32-ball 65 against Pietersen’s Bangalore Royal Challengers.
 
Pietersen conceded that it is difficult to contain a batsman like Hayden, especially when he is in such a ravaging form. He said, “When he bats like that, it's nothing much that you can do. He is a genius.”
 
He also acknowledged that his team did not execute the plans set out for the match too well.
 
He said, “We had a dominating win against Rajasthan Royals in the first match and tonight Super Kings had a dominating victory over us. The tournament is open and we will have to compete in the next match.”
