Strategic timeout under scrutiny

IPLpro Staff - 25 Apr 2009

The IPL chief Lalit Modi has said that the IPL strategic time-out will be reviewed at the end of the tournament and a decision taken about the same.

He said that he would neither agree nor disagree with the criticism, and would like to talk about it after the tournament finished, with all the stake-holders of the game.

The strategy time-out allows the player a seven and a half minutes break after the tenth over. This, according to Lalit Modi, will decrease the time-wasting tactics.

This rule had come in for a lot of criticism from the players and coaches alike.
